Perfect Binding is a widely used soft cover (or “paperback”) book binding method. With this binding method, the pages and cover are glued together at the spine with a strong yet flexible glue. The cover and inner pages are then trimmed flush (“perfect”) to size.

 

A hardcover or hardback (also known as hardbound, and case-bound) book. This is one bound with rigid covers (typically of 2.25 micron boards covered with laminated printed paper sheet). Printed Paper Case Hardback (PPC) Square backed.
